Belk’s Fanatics Partnership Boosts Sports Merchandise Selection

Belk, a renowned retailer, has joined forces with Fanatics, a prominent digital sports platform and premier supplier of licensed sports merchandise. This strategic partnership is set to elevate Belk’s product range by granting customers access to a diverse assortment of licensed sports gear directly from Fanatics’ extensive inventory.

Shaping a seamless shopping experience, Belk will manage the online shopping interface on its website and app, while Fanatics will take charge of order fulfillment and shipping. This collaboration streamlines the process for customers, enabling them to peruse an extended array of sports merchandise effortlessly.

MaryAnne Morin, President and Chief Merchandising Officer at Belk, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, “Our customers are enthusiastic about displaying their team allegiance, whether it be for college or professional teams. Partnering with Fanatics enriches our customers’ shopping experience by broadening the range of licensed sports fan gear we provide, introducing even more product categories.”

The partnership empowers Belk customers to explore a significant portion of Fanatics’ expansive catalog, showcasing licensed merchandise for teams and players across various leading leagues and sports properties. The collection encompasses a diverse selection of apparel, jerseys, headwear, and fan gear from top brands like Nike, adidas, Mitchell & Ness, New Era, and Fanatics’ own label. Initially concentrating on NCAA fan gear, Belk.com will progressively include merchandise from other leagues as their seasons draw near.

Brian Swallow, Fanatics’ Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Fanatics is delighted to collaborate with Belk and curate a product selection of licensed sports merchandise for its sports-passionate clientele. This enhanced shopping experience expands the range of fan gear choices available, offering a wide array of quality products, designs, and brands, all while maintaining an online interface aligned with what Belk’s shoppers are accustomed to.”

This partnership signifies a significant advancement for both Belk and Fanatics, providing Belk customers with an enriched shopping experience and an extended array of licensed sports merchandise choices, all delivered through the convenience of Belk’s established online platform.
