Panini Celebrates Jannik Sinner’s No. 1 Ranking

Panini, the renowned collectibles brand, is set to commemorate Jannik Sinner’s historic achievement of reaching the top spot in the ATP world rankings with an exclusive trading card and memorabilia collection. The Italian tennis sensation has made history as the first player from Italy to claim this prestigious position, prompting Panini to celebrate his success with a range of captivating collectibles.

The collaboration between Panini and Sinner kicked off in 2022 with the release of “Piccoli grandi campioni – Manuale illustrato del tennis di Jannik Sinner” by Panini Comics. This illustrated tennis manual not only offers valuable insights into Sinner’s playing techniques but also provides a glimpse into his early experiences in the sport. Adding a playful touch to the partnership, Sinner was featured as “Quacknik Spinner,” a whimsical duckified avatar, on the cover of Topolino magazine from Panini Comics in May 2024.

Sinner, reflecting on his collaboration with Panini, expressed his excitement at the opportunity to engage with fans through these unique collectibles. His childhood memories of collecting Panini stickers and enjoying their comics further fuel his enthusiasm for this partnership, allowing him to share his journey and achievements with a broader audience in a personal and meaningful way.

The first product set to be launched under this partnership is a Panini Instant trading card, designed to celebrate Sinner’s remarkable climb to the pinnacle of the ATP rankings. This exclusive card will be available solely on the Panini America platform, offering fans a special memento of Sinner’s achievement. Following this release, Panini has ambitious plans to roll out a series of trading card collections dedicated to Sinner, featuring rare memorabilia and limited-edition cards. These collections will be accessible worldwide through Panini’s e-commerce network and select retail partners.

As the initial step in a series of releases scheduled for 2024 and beyond, the collaboration between Panini and Jannik Sinner promises to captivate fans and collectors alike with its range of unique and memorable collectibles. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as Panini continues to celebrate Sinner’s remarkable journey to the pinnacle of tennis success.
