Upper Deck Welcomes Hockey Prodigy Michael Misa

Upper Deck, a prominent figure in the sports collectibles industry, has recently sealed an exclusive multi-year contract with Michael Misa, a budding star in junior hockey set to be a top pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. At just 15 years old, Misa was granted “Exceptional Status” for the 2022-23 season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), marking him as only the sixth player in the league’s history to receive such recognition. Now 17 years old, Misa has already made his mark by clinching the OHL’s Rookie of the Year accolade and the esteemed Emms Family Award.

Jason Masherah, the President of Upper Deck, couldn’t contain his excitement about signing Misa, stating the company’s eager anticipation to produce and distribute a distinctive line of Misa’s memorabilia and trading cards. This collection is designed to offer fans innovative ways to celebrate Misa’s burgeoning career, encompassing both tangible and digital formats.

The exclusive range of memorabilia available to fans includes autographed game-used pucks from the Saginaw Spirit, prints of Misa’s #77 jersey, and signed jerseys that capture significant moments from his early journey. In addition, Upper Deck has unveiled three Game Dated Moments trading cards on UpperDeckEpack.com, immortalizing Misa’s milestones such as being the #1 pick in the 2022 OHL Priority Draft, scoring his first goal, and achieving Rookie of the Year status. A special treat awaits the initial 25 collectors who complete the set, as they will receive an autographed edition of Misa’s Rookie of the Year award card, which can be purchased until February 22.

Misa himself expressed his thrill at joining Upper Deck’s lineup of athletes, which includes hockey icons like Wayne Gretzky and Connor McDavid. He highlighted the significance of this partnership in making his childhood dreams a reality and sharing his journey with fans. Through this collaboration between Upper Deck and Michael Misa, not only is the remarkable rise of a young talent in the hockey realm being celebrated, but it also upholds Upper Deck’s tradition of bridging the gap between fans and their sports heroes through creative and captivating collectibles.
