The rookie cards of the top four quarterbacks in the playoffs have become highly sought-after items, commanding impressive bids in online auctions. These quarterbacks include the iconic Patrick Mahomes II from Kansas City, the rising star Brock Purdy from San Francisco, the versatile Lamar Jackson from Baltimore, and the emerging talent Jared Goff from Detroit.

In the AFC Championship game, football fans are treated to a showdown between two titans of the game. Patrick Mahomes, a two-time Super Bowl champion and one of the most exciting quarterbacks in the league, goes head-to-head with Lamar Jackson, who is currently the front-runner for the 2023 NFL MVP award. Their on-field performances have led to a surge in the value of their rookie cards in the collectibles market.

Meanwhile, the NFC Championship game features an intriguing matchup between Brock Purdy and Jared Goff. Both quarterbacks have had impressive seasons, ranking among the top five in passing yards and demonstrating their prowess on the field. As a result, their rookie cards have also witnessed a significant increase in value, attracting avid collectors and investors alike.

eBay has become a hotbed for these highly sought-after rookie cards, where bids have reached staggering amounts. One notable item that garnered attention was a 2017 autographed Panini National Treasures Black card of Patrick Mahomes. The card, sold for an impressive $19,300 on 62 bids, showcases the fervor surrounding Mahomes’ meteoric rise in the NFL. Another Mahomes card, a 2017 signed Panini Contenders Rookie Ticket graded BGS 9.5, fetched $16,577 from 51 bids, highlighting the immense market demand for his collectibles.

Brock Purdy, the second-year sensation from San Francisco, has also seen his rookie cards soar in value. A 2022 Playoff Contenders signed Rookie Ticket “Cracked Ice” variation, graded PSA 10 and one of only 22 made, sold for an enticing $10,268 on 27 bids. This follows a consistent trend of Purdy’s rookie cards selling for over $10,000, including a 2022 National Treasures signed patch card graded PSA 9, which generated $15,000 on 53 bids.

Lamar Jackson, known for his electrifying playing style, has likewise witnessed a surge in the value of his rookie cards. A Gem-Mint 2018 Panini Prizm Black Finite card fetched an astounding $51,100 on 76 bids, showcasing the immense demand for Jackson’s collectibles. Another sought-after item, a 2018 National Treasures autographed patch card numbered #27/99 and graded BGS 9.5, sold for a respectable $18,000 on 39 bids.

Jared Goff, despite facing some challenges early in his career, has seen growing interest in his cards. A 2019 Panini Absolute Kaboom! card, a gold variation marked #6/10, was sold for an impressive $3,049 on 50 bids. Additionally, a 2016 Donruss Optic Gold Prizm rookie card marked #2/10 and graded BGS 10 sold for $2,950 on 32 bids, highlighting Goff’s potential as a collectible in the market.

As the NFL playoffs continue to captivate audiences, the excitement on the field is mirrored in the sports memorabilia market. The rookie cards of these top quarterbacks have become valuable and sought-after items, attracting collectors and investors eager to own a piece of football history.
